basically im new to this site . just quit riding motocross due to health issues and got my self a sr125

bought this bike today thats been sat in a garage for 18months with the same fuel in, i had a go today and it took off fine got to a good speed and then bogged out when i blipped the throttle.
then when i rode it when i got him it done the same thing a few times, any ideas what it could be . hopefully not the jetting hopefully just stale fuel?

like i say im new to scooters but ill try my best to understand

    What u can do:
    - Change fuel.
    - Check your spark plug color and dryness. (Perfect is coffe with milk and its little wet)
-- If it's not -> bright color = too small jet size(too much air) / dark and wet -> to big jet size (too much fuel)
    - Check you clamp between carb and air filter. It should be there and should keep tightness and prevent from getting some additional air (check your spark plug for confirmation).
    - Clean your carburetor, especially float chamber. Maybe some water is there, maybe jet got dirty or some stuff is swimming there.

i had just looked and the clamp that connects the airbox boot to the carb is on loose and one if missing maybe that could be the problem?

That should be a problem. Buy new ones and tell us how it's running.
