Squeeling engine sound

Evening all,

Just wondering if anybody can help me out and save me from driving the odd 40+ miles to the dealership to get them to look at it on Friday..

Whenever I accelerate away from a standstill I get some sort of squeaky squealing sound from the engine area, and me being me and not knowing a thing about scoots have no idea what has caused it or how to fix it :/

Alex Barnes has also noticed it, so it must be fairly loud.

Any help appreciated

 

drive belt slipping?

 

That's just gone right over my head lol, is there any way I can look, and fix it myself?

 

i mentiond the belt to u and the rollers theres nothing else it can be

 

i really only know from cars, but belts squeel if they slip a bit
take the variator cover off and give the belt a pull see if its moves without much resistance
