Hi i've just joined and since my scooter is worse for wear i've decided I want to spray her with rattle cans aka cheap ones from halfords. Basically just wondered is there anyway i can do this without getting orange peel effect and making it look like a bodge? Not sure what colour yet but i seen another aerox on here with nissan blue and that looks the shiz.

not always the case, if you spend enough time on preperation and apply thin coats. and take your time you can get professional results.

yeah plenty of primer, then colour coats, then laquer it up shiny.

i think most people go wrong at the start by not rubbing down the panels properly. you'll also need to rub down the primer layers with very fine glass paper to acheive a smooth finish.
just make sure all products you use are from the same manufacture, as diffeent laquers may act differently with other colours for example.

Ive got a method that gives good results for spraying with spray cans!!

choose a non metalic basic colour like white..black..or red for example,

As long as its a basic non metalic colour with no clear laquer top coat..

prep the panels, primer then spray the required colour...then leave the paint
to dry and harden fully for a week atleast...then T-cut the panels with a lambs wool polishing bonnet ;)
