i have a problem with my zip sp it just started caughing and spluttering then a couple of miles later it died. a few minutes later i tried to start it again which it did but died about 3 seconds after. i checked the plug which was fine (running slightly rich) and carb. the carb needle was out of place which i thaught was the problem but wasnt. i filled it up with petrol a few minutes before it started to splutter, maybe its a fuel issue? and no i DIDNT put diesel in it haa. the new 70 kit has only done around 100 miles. i used jump leads on a car to try and start it due to the flat battery but now when i go to start it the starter motor goes into hyper mode! any help appreciated any help appreciated
you need to check you have plenty of compression, you have a spark, there is fuel getting to the engine and finally there is air...those are the main ingredients of a running engine...
found out the problem the crank has gone. Big eng totally disintigrated. so just installed a Athena HPC full circle one.
