    Hi there

Okay, first post (if you don't count my intro post) and it's a problem :(

I've got a Tecnigas Next R chrome exhaust on my Speedfight 2.

I thought I had a smallish hole in my exhaust and was planning on removing the rust and gun gumming the hole up.

Anyway, I've removed some of the rust and have found it's a split in the exhaust! Is Gun Gum going to do the job? I've got an MOT coming soon and fully expect it to fail but don't really want to buy a new exhaust if I can avoid it.

    Any advice really appreciated.

Why not get it welded up? Max would be £10-20. It's a bit rusted to crap but if you are lucky with a grind down you might get enough metal to weld too.

Seeing you dont say where you live this is probably pointless, but if your local i'll mig it up for you as my good deed for the day. :)

That's a nice offer, but I'm in Hull.

Sadly, welding isn't my strong point... I'd probably end up setting the whole street on fire

I've just applied some rust removal gel to the exhaust as I was exhausted from removing the rust with a wire brush and it taking an absolute age to get a tiny bit looking shiny :(

Got the Gun Gum, gonna give that a go later :D I'm going to ask the MOT people about the welding idea :D
