hello, i recently blew my sr50r up, i fucked the piston so i got a new piston, rings and gaskets and all that but still had the barrel and head, my dad took it to a place to see if it is ok to run and he said yehh thats perfect. we put it all back together and at the start for a minute it would run great but then it would just die and drop to 30mph too 20mph and spit and misfire. i cleaned the plug and put a new one in and did the same, later on that night i was riding at a steady 40 and it was going good, i opened the throtle up and it was rapidd, then about 20mins after it went again , it was fine for 2 hours or so.
also my dad did put some oil around the barrel, not too much tho

it blew up because it just got to hot because i was flat out for too long all the time so the was no real cause just me!
i just put a new plug in it and it went great again took it out and put the old one in and the old ones seem to get realy clogged up with oil so i put the new one in and took it for a ride and then had a look and its all good, im going out agian in a bit so ill let you no if it gets oily

A bike isn't going to blow up for the reason you stated. They are designed to be ragged.

Especially if its a water cooled SR50... they wont over heat unless theres a problem.

I would be looking at the oil pump/water pump drivegear and its associated belt...
