It COULD be a faulty head gasket thats pressurizing the water jacket. May pay to do a sniff test

may have just been a broken cap and too much water in the bottle?

just stript it down and the gimp who had the bike before me has rebuilt it but instead of spending £10 on a gasket set decided to use gasket sealer instead

Coolant shouldnt be filled to the top, just under or at the max level.

This happens on runners as it pisses out due to being "overfilled"

Dont bodge your cap either, get a replacement if thats the prob!

getting a new coolant tank and cap,, one of the gaskets on the head wasnt ther and they used gasket sealer insted so it was pressurising the water then it was comin out..

i think its 12nm but checked after 20 mins running.. thas with locktight also.. slightly ovver torquing isnt a bad thing altho it kills gasgets strippes threads and stretches bolts. best to grab the manual, set it to the correct setting with locktight then recheck. gotta think 5 years down the line not just getting your engine running for now. im sure everyone appreciates the difference between a shit engine and a good engine regardless of parts ;)
