    Hii i have a 53 speedy 2 L/C and everything was fine with it getting 52 clock speed , but suddenly today when i went out on it i could only get 45 when i have it full throttle or it would sometimes get to 52 if i released the throttle and then opened it fully again but would take way way longer then usual .. i though it could have been the zaust so ive re-packed the end can and cleaned out the main pipe with costic soda but still i have the same problem .. anyone no what it could be ?

    Does your carb have a diaphram in it? you could have a small hole in it or a little gap.

    Rollers = fine
    Cleaned air filer and compartment out with petrol .
    Jet = fine
    Cleaned out carb bowl
    Put new spark plug in

    Still not fixed the problem :(

    check tires, badly pressured tires can easily kill 5mph off top speed.

    one thing you may need to remember is that you should never clean an air filter with petrol, use warm water and and a detergant of sum sort then apply air filter oil to it.
