na then people, jus the other day i fitted a doppler sports 50 kit and have been gently running it in ever since but something i have found is that when it gets quite hot on like a 9 mile ride if i come to a junction or roundabout and try to set off on full throttle the bike jus revs really low and crawls along at about 5 to 10 mph and then out of nowhere thers a huge burst of power and it then runs fine until i have to stop again. please help its fuckin me off and i dont know what it could be. cheers
so you fitted an aftermarket 50 kit, and you pull off at full throttle whilst wearing the kit in? if so you are simply raping that kit to bits. and did you fit lighter rollers/bigger jets/stiffer springs when you fitted the kit?
the only reason i set off with full throttle is because half or less throttle dunt do shit. ive fitted lighter rollers but thats it. but the thing is surely that woudnt make a difference because when its cold it fuckin blasts off with only a tickle of the throttle and thers no problems until it gets hot. and i always give it three minutes to warm up before setting off aswell
i'm not too sure, but from what i know, if your bike runs ok when cold and not when hot/warmed up then its your carb that is rather poorly set up, dont hold me on it and wait for someone with a defo answer , but i'm still certain its a carb related issue. thats why an engine should be set up when warm and not cold :nerd:
ahh lol ahrite mate nice one cheers. when i can gather up some more money i will be upjetting it anyway so ill have to see what happens.
you sure your choke is working properly, might explain why its running nicely when its cold and not hot, and a box of jets is only like 10 pound mate
should be as it is brand new but i am not sure. ye i know but i need money for petrol and other things lol
the fact it only happens when its warm means it is fuel related, either a choke problem or needs slightly richer jetting, just make sure that it is definately only after its warm.
ye rode it for a while today and then went through a town (lots of junctions and roundabouts) it was definetly slower setting off but nowhere near as bad as it was. also today i had a look at my clutch shoes and there is a huge clearance and they are fucked. it couldnt be that cud it.
My knowledge isnt brilliant, but wouldnt you feel it slipping if the clutch shoes where fucked in the ass
hey, had a similar problem with my neos, i found the air screw setting was way out after doing my rebuild so i twisted it all the way in, then unscrewed it 1.5 turns out and went from there riden it til it got hot, then tweaking it quarter of a turn, then riding it again, and tweaking..riding..twe..etc until u have it best as you can.. although this may not be the case. just was main cause of my problem which was bacause it was running too rich mixture at low revs.. EDIT: by the way if you didnt know u can go less than 1.5 turns or more than 1.5 turns, just allways use 1.5 turns out as a base mark if u get lost... once u get it perfect, just wind it back in all the way, making sure u count the amount of turns it takes and write it down so u now where it was for future referance.. then u can use that information for next time..
