speedo not working :(

hi can somebody please help me out by telling me whats wrong,my speedo isn't working at all it jus stays on zero and also my miles arent going up...... please help

 

probably the inner cable has snapped. Take it off at the bottom and see if the inner will pull through in 1 piece

 

thats the cable 100% it happened on my aerox aswell

 

the cable pulls though in one piece and it looks fine any other ideas ??

 

could be the speedo drive unit....theres a small cog like thing inside it and it wore down so therefore didnt grip and get a reading

 

could be the plastic cog at the top end. These sometimes sheer or its the drive in the wheel. The tangs get bent when folks reassemble incorrectly and dont realise what they're doind.Have to make sure the tangs line up with the spaces in the wheel hub so it turns the speedo drive

 

^ thats the speedo drive i think... mine stopped working, took the drive off and the cog had nothing to grip to... replaced it and speedo worked straight awayyy
