i do know the typhoon has two different necks on the drive mechanism that the speedo cable goes on to because you get a long and short speedo cable, i had a long neck and a short cable so the cable never reached into the drive, so i got the long cable and it all worked fine, im defo that there are two different drives but not sure if one is for 50z an one is for 125z, hope that helps abit but im sure somone will have a defanate answer for u soon.

If the rolling radius of the wheel and tyre hasn't changed, then your speedo should still read the same with the new drive connected.
