Hi all,i have a peugeot speedfight 2, it is all standard apart from the rollers. I dont expect it to be fast as it is standard but it does seem very slow especially when its cold. Sometimes setting off it will be quick and get up to speed, but most of the time it seems very boggy and as if something is slipping, possibly need new clutch shoes ? Also, its using a hell of a lot of petrol ! Any help will me much appreciated !
Im not sure what weight rollers as i didnt do them haha. Getting a racing exhaust and clutch springs in a week or so
Well take them out and weigh them and devide it by 6.... What exhaust you buying ? It could be your choke. Also check what jet you're running.
Im gonna take the air filter and carb off today and give it all a good clean. any tips for cleaning the jet ? And is it easy enough to get the carb n everythin out and back together? I used to be a car mechanic but never really worked on bikes
Just been out on it this morning, i think it needs a new belt and clutch shoes as it feels as if something is slipping. Going up hill it just dies if u put more than quarter throttle, and its using ALOT of petrol but there is no leaks Iv took air filter off and give it a clean but no help
Can i adjust the mixture on the carb? Correct me if im wrong but im sure you can adjust it using a screw driver
Iv had a look at the carb, and the fuel and air screw has one of them temper proof things there instead iv managed twist it slightly though
It can't be? I have standard speedfight carb it had all the skrews on it.... WHy have you upgraded the rollers ?
They were already upgraded when i got it, and the fuel and air screw is a tamper proof screw, im just gonna buy a new carb lol
Go for a 17.5mm and buy a carb adapter from Pedparts. Will run better. Find out what weight your rollers are. If they're too light they wont work properly.
I will do when i get paid haha. My mate has a speedfight 3 and its rapid ! well compared to mine it is haha i struggle getting past 25 !
