ive just checked my clutch and rollers. the clutch outer shell looks very purple is that normal? and the rollers has slight flat spots? is that normal aswell? do i need new rollers or clutch? or both? thanks
speedfights do flat their rollers pretty quickly, because they are quite small (16x13) you can just put up with changing rollers on a regular basis, or you can fit a Doppler S2BR variator which uses the larger and harder wearing 19x15.5 sized rollers if your clutch bell seems very purple on the outside, that is a sign its been running very hot...there are umpteen aftermarket clutch bells available with additional cooling features built in, and not really that more expensive than a std replacement clutch bell. its also worth checking your clutch shoes too for wear and glazing
