so here it, i got a speedfight 2 (very cheap) crank was fooked, so i banged a trekker engine in it, also swapped the crappy front suspension to trekker forks, looks good :) But heres the problem, i have a spark (but its orange not blue) and also fuel getting to the engine. the bike will not start even when a bit of fuel is poored down the plug hole, the bike has a lot of compression (new top end) The bike will miss fire and backfire but not actually start... any help will be much appreciated

Did you check over the trekker engine before it was put in? Do all the obvious checks, plug, carb blocked, splits in manifold/airbox, incorrect join to airbox, reeds, and if not, must be electrics

is the plug getting wet with fuel ? im guessing it is as you have poured fuel into the bore , although you have a spark , underload it will only spark to the porcalen rather than the tip and one the porcelen is soaked ya plugs had it , try a new plug first and see if that solves it

yes, the trekker engine was all good, i rebuilt it befire the engine swap. I have also tried a new spark plug but still no success.

iNEEDaNEWped, when you say electrics, what part of the electrics would you say?

I was also wondering if it could be anything to do with the immobiliser on the speedfight?
    thanks.

The immobiliser explains it. You'd probably need a bypass unit which are around 120. Id double check first but the speedfight immobilisers are well known for being absolute turd and causing a host of problems.

Let someone else post. Im not 100% sure it is, but the immobiliser is an extremely common fault on speedys.
