speedfight is at it again

Just had new carb new choke nee plug and coil and refusing to start from cold battery is flat and i can't kick it over any ideas

It was good yesterday starting straight away riding nice and out hesitated once last night in cold and now it won't start

 

I can smell it bring flooded so that leads me to believe a spark problem

 

Check it's sparking first. Why can't you use the kickstart?

have you got the new carb set up properly

 

if you smell it getting flooded the main jet is to big , or the choke as been left on or is sticking , or the float is sticking

 

it was while to choke was on so I'm thinking it was that!

Will down jet to 92 if need be!

got spark, compression all of that.

I've flattened my battery but its on charge now will give the mixture a tweak see if i have any joy.

yeah sounds like you left the choke on for to long and flooded it lol

 

When mine wouldn't start the other day I adjusted the mixture screw and turned the idle screw further in and it started first or second kick.

 

will give it a try when battery has charged abit I'm sick my kick start would stop working at this time! I ordered a new pinion on the 18th and it aint arrived yet and nothing ped parts can do unless it has been 15 days if it is lost!

 

got it sorted running I either need to mess with the mixture or re jet, it started when the mixture screw was nearly all the way out so does that mean I've got the wrong jet in? It splutters abit pulling away sometimes so is that a down jet? cheers

 

if its spluttering its running to rich mate , knock the main jet down a bit and try it

 

I think its a spluttering, it used to do it with the other carb when i pull away it will take the revs a few seconds to pic up then its fine, I'll knock the main jet down back to 92 see what difference it makes cheers

 

is it full throttle when it does it ?

 

yeah it is only when I full throttle it!

jetted down to 95 I think it was seems alright revs still take a few seconds to pick up at full throttle but it alright at half throttle.

Will look into it tomorrow or something got work in an hour and its to cold and windy to be messing about haha
