    Hey guys,

Thanks for all the help with my other problems but my bike seems really slow getting up to speed, all the other lads out on peds which are standard and just de-restricted and owning me setting off from the line. I mean, it's alright for me but i can't help but thinking it should be quicker?

    I've got a malossi variator (3.9g Rollers)
    RMS Race Clutch and Bell
    Polini Belt

I'm not sure if the carb is setup right as it has a manual choke and runs better with it on! I think it will be this but i've not got a clue what to do with the mixture screws or anything. The bikes got a gianelli Extra Chrome exhaust on it and it's got a 70 main jet. My dad has been around bikes for a while and hasn't said anything about the jetting so i presume it's correct.

right, this is a common thing with the extra exhausts.

i take it it hangs til it reaches about 10mph then flies?

We fixed this problem :p it was the rollers Dan :D! It's not that it hangs, it goes alright, acclerates at the same speed but i get beaten easily. I get the feeling mine should be faster?

It's maybe just me but i had a go on a de-restriced 100 and it went like fuck. But that's 100 cc not 50.

    Cheers

ah good to hear. its normally clutch's that cause the huge take off problems. maybe you feel that but if you have the right rollers then its running fine.

yes, bear in mind a 100cc has a lot more bhp

your clutch cant be setup right... does it rev off the line or is it lazy for the first 5/10mph?

wind it down a little untill the revs drop, then you know its not clutch slip. the aim is to be just below the powerband as you pull off. then if its still revving its nuts off and not moving you will probably need some heavier rollers.. again, add weight untill the revs drop and you know your getting full power through the transmission.

Sorry it's taking me a while to get this sorted but i've uploaded a video. I've played with the mixture screw and it flies now!

Okay, i didn't realise it wouldn't help. I'll ask my friend to video the bike going down the road or something. Sorry Mate

EDIT: if it helps, when the back wheel stars spinning, i'm at full throttle from like the start of the video...

Got pulled over last night... brake light was out... got given a form to fill in and have to get an MOT station to verify i'd fixed it... Whilst it was there, the guy who owns the bike shop told me my reed block was fucked as it was poppin a lot... ( I Know the guy well ) and so now i've ordered a Polini one and it should be here by thursday... hopefully this fixes half my problems!
