Hey Guys, i've sorted my dip at 10mph thanks! The accelleration on my bike is shocking at the least (I thought it was alright until i went out with some friends lol), i've got a manual choke on the bike and it runs better with it on than it does when it's off. I know it's to do with the mixture screw but have no idea what i need to do with it. The bike will not tick over when it's not on choke and just cuts out. It goes well but other standard (de-restricted) 50's beat me off the line and i've got malossi parts in it. Thanks again Danny
Re: Speedfight 50 AC 03 Clutch Problems i had the same problem its the extra exhaust, its prone to it on some models its the clutch. you need to make sure your jetted correctly, fit stronger clutch springs and that should do it. if that doesnt solve it completely, upgrade the transmission bit by bit like i did let me know if you have any other issues
Re: Speedfight 50 AC 03 Clutch Problems your rollers are too heavy, if it gets off the line fine then thew revs drop at 10 mph the cluutch has done its jub, your rollersa are putting too much too soon on the engine and its dropping the revs. if however the bike is revving fine and simply not moving at 10mph and above the rollers are too light. by 10mph your clutch is all done, this is why we have variators, so your clutch only has to get you off the line. it should not slip past the point your transmission starts to progress through the range. do not just arbitrarily throw parts at this bit by bit, that is how a part fitter repairs cars. cluelessly. this can be fixed for 3 quid
Re: Speedfight 50 AC 03 Clutch Problems I've got 5.2g rollers in it at the moment, would 3.9g be too light? I see what you mean about the clutch because it doesn't slip, it revvs like a bastard and then throws the rollers out. So yeah, it does seem like the rollers now. I guess it's just trial and error? Thanks for the reply mate!
Re: Speedfight 50 AC 03 Clutch Problems to be honest with you, rollers never helped my problem. perhaps yours was different to mine, but mine failed to reach 10mph for a while, before finally 'biting'
Re: Speedfight 50 AC 03 Clutch Problems in which case its rollers. try a gram lighter, see how you get on and let us know
Re: Speedfight 50 AC 03 Clutch Problems yours will need stiffer springs to get it up to 10mph.... after this the revs are all roller related. below 10mph and the springs alone set the rpm of the engine
Re: Speedfight 50 AC 03 Clutch Problems thanks for the advice mate, getting some fitted when im off holiday :good:
Re: Speedfight 50 AC 03 Clutch Problems Ordered my 3.9g rollers and will let you guys know how it goes when they get here EDIT: Put them in and they have fixed the dip at 10mph! Cheers
