Hey, I've got a 50CC Peugeot speedfight 2 here, It's pretty loud, well, very loud, I've had to take it to a garage ATM due to a nail in the Tyre, and when i dropped it off, he said that I've got a 'Racing exhaust' installed, now looking at the other speedfights they don't have this exhaust and round and about on the internet there isn't any pictures of it, it's old looking and just looks like a basic if im honest, but, how can i make the scooter a little quieter? it's pretty loud and annoying, If i buy a different exhaust will it quiet down abit? or is it loud due to it being a 2 stroke? if its running ok but loud i wouldn't bother getting a new exhaust. start the bike from cold and feel around the joins for air leaks. this will be from the pipe to the silencer or from the pipe to the engine (cylinder). if it has any leaks at these areas it will most probably need a new gasket. any other leak will be a hole in the actual exhaust, either get it welded or bin it and get a new un!
