Its a common fault with speedfights mate, my old speedfight had the same problem and my mates had 4 speedfights and they all had shock faults, its also because of the single swingarm fork, its not a very reliable design
it to do with the way you ride, Start by having some road awareness i see more kids just riding into potholes and bumps like it's all good. well it is until you have to pay £80 for new shocks or fork rebuilds every month. Also and we all do this riding as fast as you can then slamming on at the last min put unneeded stress onto the shock. Or sometimes is just an old part everything needs servicing at some point
How is it to with the way I ride? I've had the bike since febuary, it's nearly 10 years old and probably never been changed, tbh I ride sensibly, yeah I go over the limit sometimes, in places I know like the back of my hand, I try to avoid potholes as best as I can.
NO, sorry what i was saying is the front shocks go all the time, and its normally to do with how ppl ride. i was not saying it you i was just pointing out the main reason why they go. when you use that sort of a shock on the front end where all the force is from braking and hitting bumps there going to blow a lot.
lol i owned a speedfight mid race set up and went threw 3 shocks in 12 months, we all ride/drive like tit sometimes
could be the rubber bushings on the engine mount have worn causing the engine to vibrate the full scooter?
Took it to the garage, they sorted the head stock out, checked the engine mount bushes, was still vibrating, took the side stand and wabammmmm, it's stopped. It's one of the ones that goes round the tube, so they ordered me a new one, the proper Speedfight one!
i have read this hole post and i cannot believe that everyone missed the obvious.........if all you have done to the ped is put on a side stand and THEN the vibration started do you not think the most logical answer would be to start with that??? i mean people started to talk about crank changes then front shock???? lots of extra cash that did not need to be spent. i am a great believer in the 'KISS' principle Keep It Simple Stupid....... not having ago at anyone in this post just pointing out the most logical solution is all. live long and prosper
It's sorted mate, I needed the shocker replacing and the head stock doing anyways, just got it all done in one
outstanding, so just confirm for me it was the side stand that started the trouble you had yes? live long and prosper
Okayyyyyyyy, so the vibrating has now gone! The side stand they put on was tiny so they had to lower my jack up kit completely, But like a boss my brother stuck my old arm onto the new one and jacked it back up, the foot wasn't sitting well, so with great advise from Jeremy clarkson we took a hammer to it, now it's leaning perfectly!
