    ahhh i thought so....
yeaa i don't mind ring changes :nerd:
stage 6 racing it is then!
i just want the most out of my engine
yea my bottom end should be up to the job.
i thoughy my stage 6 pro was very reliable, so i'm sure i won't havy many problems with this kit.

oh ok, yes of course :emb: it even say's iot on their description on scooter attack.

but.....i can't find any from athena for the speedfight 2...do they have a website? ...although the stage 6 kit isn't too bad priced... its less than the mhr rep.

righteo! got an update for you.
finished for tonigh on work on the headlights....needs another hour or so tomorrow...then i can prime it up, see how she looks.

what you think?.....it's quite hard to see the design.....but basically, the red light insert has been fibreglassed and moulded to the clear lens.

    first process:
made some some back supports for the fibreglass using plasticard, and hot glued them onto the lens.

then cut some strips of glass fibre matting, and then applied them to the panel:

i then sanded off any excess fibreglass

then began to filler on top of the fibreglass, sanded and filled repated until i got the desired shape:

and this is how it currently stands :hitit:  :

i went a bit crazy with the pics  ...but i thought you might want to see the process i go through...

anyway, comments and suggestions welcome as usual

    nooooo DAVE!!!

thats put me in a right bad mood now :( right thats it....im stopping this project!

NOT!...still upset though  but she's fit so i'll let her off.

well well, mine are better than hers!!...cz mines going to let water run out of the lights, in hers, its just going to either sit in there, or run into her front panel and electrics so :punk: and...she's just done what they all do with hte lights, mine are special :D

still needs a bit of work on the filler side, to perfect them but other than that...they are nearly ready to be fibreglassed to the front panel....

let me know what you think :punk:

    cheers lads
here's a quick mock up of the panel.
none of it's fibreglassed on yet, it's just to show the overall look of it.
i think it looks good :)
i also added a bit more filler to the lights, need to make the shape perfect.

    HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM!

    basically....the lights work fine....to a point.
the dipped beam works as normal
my brighter light is much much brighter.....but shines to a point.....so it's just a circle thats lit up and is prety rubbish.
any idea how i can scatter the light more?

and here's a quick pic of my ped with the front panel on, it's a rubbish pic sorry

    Hehe I do don't I.

Looking good mate, keep it up, I wanna see it primered up

With the lights I think there is going to be different power going to either light either by resistors or something in the circuit :confused:cratch:

na on the speedy...it just uses a switch to change which bulb the power goes to....both bulbs are exactly the same but basically...the dipped beam has a metal plate blocking part of the bulb so not much light gets out...that's it....and the main beam is just fully open...but because i've put this part on it ...without the metal plate, it is much brigher but focuses on a little point.

    got an update

    WARNING- BLOOMIN LONG POST

stripped to bare frame and refurbished every single piece

    before:

    after:

and painted a few bits and pieces:
that shock is standard believe it or not 8) looks really nice for a stock part.

ahh I know you all think that this refurbishing stuff is boring compared to my normal stuff.....but I needed a change
and I love the feeling of having a totally fresh bike....with parts which I have assembled again myself...so I know exactly what I have done.
today so far I've reassembled the front swingarm assembley, suspension and brakes....including new pads with copper grease.
    looks stunning :)

anyway here's a quick pic update:

finished sorting and grouping and taping the wiring loom.

finished working on the front swingarm...looks so damn sexy 8)

    got an update
basically...i've cut each end of the spoiler off and bent them facing down, fibreglassed it to the panel and am smoothing it in
i've always wanted to do this to a speedy spoiler...and i photoshopped it about a year ago and thought it looked amazing...so behold ... 8)

yes it will all be moulded into the rear panel so will all flow into one piece.

    and here's the photoshop:

no where near finished yet :)

ahh i love this pic...looks so dodgy  i promise it;s the same height as in the mock up pictures...just at a good camera angle

donked a bit of filler on
    [IMG]

    it's definately taking shape.

oh...here's a mock up of the paint scheme i'm going for 8)
