Good work on the panels, did you spray them outside?

i keep them in the top shed, along with my current bikes....so every time i need to work on them i have to shift all the spares out of the shed
nope, i've got another shed i do the spraying in...i bought a plasticote can handle sprayer thing, and its soo good, gives you way more control and doesn't ache your finger tips as its more like a gun. I'd recommend it to anyone doing spray painting with cans!

    alright lads....
im going to do some work on the cases i've decided....might as well squeeze as much pwoer out of the pug engine as i can....
anyone give me some guidance of what areas need work.
firstly i'll take out that column splitting the intake in two yea?
and then, what bits do i need to flow?
heres a few pics for you...

    BUMP

seeing as theres so much interest in my project i thought i'd update :w00t:

basically, starting modifying my front panel, going aerxo styley.....with custom headlights, basically where its cut out are my new headlights...and the rest will be smoothed into the panel.
Also where the sidelights usually go, im having two air intakes leading to the radiator.
the headlight cutouts are nowhere near perfect yet and i still have a lot of work to do....including smoothing the insides to any water getting inside will run back out.

let me know what you think

    cheers mate,
so basically, your saying round it more at the top of the divider, i was planning on doing it tomorrow anyhow :nerd:

these lights are going to be such hard work :( much more then what i first expected,

basically, ive got to cut the shapes perfect, then the coloured casing for the insert needs to be fibreglassed to the lens, and the bottoms smoothed into it to flow any rain water out of the lights, then i've got to cut out the holes for the air intakes either side, it will look like jefro's intake on his runner pretty much but on both sides. and then after that i've got to fibreglass the lens and insert combo to the front panel, and then perfect it....so a lot of work :( should be worth it though.

    cheers lads!
put another layer of fibreglass on it, and have fillered it, and its so very nearly done,
needs some more sanding and a little bit more filler in places and it'll be spot on!

i'll update with some pics later.

    sandpaper :punk:

so yea, it takes a while, but its really accurate. so im happy.

i did spend about an hour making the template perfect though.

template just peeled off ;) so its pure fibreglass on there now.....looks so good right now!
i wont be back at my house until about 7 30 so i'll upload some recent pics then.

    i know!
i was shocked when i got on it for the first time.
when that same engine was on the other frame and cdi, it was rubbish  acceleration went no wehre, and it was very unresponsive....but i changed the frame, inc the cdi and ignition, which was on the other frame already, and it went like stink :p

Its a standard speedfight, with a pm tuning crank that i fitted months back....but the bore and exhaust are totally standard...i don't understand why it's quick either lol
if i may say so myself, i think it looks amazing!

    heres the pics:

right, you see where theres cutouts in the lenses?
    they are my new lights
the rest will be blended into the panel
the coloured insert on the inside will be moulded to the lens
and flowed and smoothed so that any water getting inside will run straight back out.
then where the sidelights are, im havein air intakes leading up to the radiator.....and maybe one down to the air filter...but on pugs the filters right out the side of it so it'll get enough air tbh.
