Right just put some 6g rollers and some Hard clutch springs in my speedfight but now it struggles to do over 20mph Anyone know what's wrong? I am running an AC speedfight2, stage 6 pro replica, polini airfilter, everything else is stock Thanks for your time
I don't see any larger jet fitted to the carb to compensate for the tuned pipe. Take your main jet out, read the number on it, add 8 to it for safety and that's the new jet size to start with. You may need to up-jet a bit more, so I would buy a box of different jet sizes and play around a bit. You risk seizing it up due to a weak mixture if you try to ride it as it's jetted now.
Sorry forgot to put that bike is correctly jetted running a 100 jet so don't think it's that! Although it is running a tad to rich
The Speedy 2 Non-Cat model should have 8 gram rollers as standard, so I suspect that your 6 gram rollers can't throw the variator pulleys out enough to get a gear ratio to get you above 20 MPH. Try some 7.5 gram rollers, go back to the standard clutch springs and then work from there. Lighter rollers make the variator engage at higher RPM but I think that you've gone down too many steps and there's not enough weight to force the pulleys together and make the belt run at full height. Heavier clutch springs also cause the drive to engage later so no wonder you're crawling along. I'd also consider a sports variator if you want a more aggressive take off.
