It is possible I had an imobilised bike and ignition which I have done away with if I make my own little loom from the stator into the cdi coil and earth for the spark will it work ... I'm not using any of the old loom I have a standard ignition and non imbolised cDi
No what I mean is iv done away with the imobilser/cdi as it was no good iv took the imobilsed barrel and key completely gone off the bike .. so I'm asking can I wire straight from the stator pulse ground stator into my normal 50cc cdi will that work ??
speedy 2's came in two flavours imobo'd and none imobo'd. all you would do is grab a cdi from a non imobo'd speedy and put it into yours, that the only way i can see you doing it. but again the imobo needs to be spoofed i would have thought as the barrel and ignition are just the switch, the imobo is a physical box ? im not sure about going direct to the cdi itself from the stator, you would need to scour the speedy forums to see how they got round that imobo'd system. to what i could work out they use a imobo bypass to replace the imobo box itself. without a bypass bikes got fuel spark etc etc just wont fire up, the imobo is unplugegd from the loom and the bypasser fitted in its place, when bike is fired over it would start and run. they bypasser cuts the need for a chip key and also lifts the rpm restrictor.
