howdyy, ive got a pug speedfight 2 broke down fews ago, got it home searched for hours to find the problem, took the cylinder head and barrel off to find damage piston rings replaced piston,rings,small end bearing,tryed to start it up, it wasnt havin non of it so did the usaual checks turned out i had no spark, checked wires,changed ht lead,ht cap,spark plug,still no joy took the flywheel off and the stator plate was absolutly sh*gged, bought a new one and put it on today, im getting a spark but only every few seconds,then nothing,a spark, seems to only spark when it wants to is there somthing im missing ? bike is non-immobilsed btw....thanks for your time :good:
Re: sppedfight 2 50cc no spark Well my aerox would run , then when full throttle it would go into shagging mode front and back , then die. No spark then after 10 minutes it would spark and do the same thing. Then it packed up proper and it was the coil was breaking down. :cheers:
Re: sppedfight 2 50cc no spark thanks bike was starting but wont rev,backfired,then cuts out, checked the reed valve that appered to be knackered so bought a new one from donotlink,now im gettin a spark but still refuses to start ? im i missing something, bikes been off road now for weeks, been a bit of a bus wan*er LOL im running out of money and patience with the bloody thing was a nice realible bike before just dont know what the problem is just wish it would book it`s ideas up or its goin to the scrappers

Re: sppedfight 2 50cc no spark hi nathan replaced the stator but not the coil, mums lending me money tomorrow so gonna order a coil and cdi ( just in case )
Re: sppedfight 2 50cc no spark i have had similar problems with these bikes my self. test all the wire to do with the ignition and spark or anything that relates to the plug pal. there maybe a broken wire in the loom somewhere ?
Re: sppedfight 2 50cc no spark a quick update replaced cdi and coil now im gettin a realy good spark ( a sharp blue colour ) but still not starting i have replaced piston/rings stator plate spark plug coil cdi ht cap reed valve its got compression its getting fuel to the carb ( although the fuel keeps coming from the vaccum tap ??? ) its not like its flooding the engine though there is a very good spark on a new plug ruuning out of ideas now...does the timing have to be set on two strokes ? ive been reading post`s on hear about a woodruff or sumthing any help is apprechated just want to get on the roads again :thumbsup:
yes sits in perfect and tightens all the way ...if not id be able to hear the compressed air from the cylinder flutter past the plug
have you checked the compretion?? with a tool to tell you howmuch compretion it has? just noticed these are the same symptoms my ice had and id seized the engine worth a check
