Hi all, ive got a peugeot speedfight 2 100cc. Its got everything standard on it apart from an open air filter. My problem is it doesnt barely pull away when its on full rev if i push my self it will set off fine. It takes time to build up speed. Also my kickstart works but it doesnt spring back, i looked at the springs and they appear to be fine, my kickstart mech is dry so may it just need grease? Any help will be appreciated greatly. Thanks people
Re: Speedfight 2 100cc. Lights also when i have my lights on, the high beam is on the dipped beam switch and the dipped beam is onn the high beam switch and the high beam light on the dash comes on whilst i have dipped beam on, will this fail its MOT?
Re: Speedfight 2 100cc HELP! crikey.....hello and welcome. right, the pulling away sounds like carb needs setting up, if you look through other posts on here there are plenty to explain your problem. just search bogging. your high beam telltale will fail the mot or if the tester is ok and all other things fine you might get an advise but i would still look into it, i would start with the printed circuit in the clocks as these usually bring out problems like this. the number plate light, yes you need one, anything over 50cc or will do more than 30mph needs a number plate light. kickstart, another common pug problem, usually needs new gear thats on the inside of the tranny case attached to the kickstart shaft. hope any of this helps.
yellasei said it all.. Please don't make 1 topic with 3-4 completely different questions. Make a topic for each question and title it properly next time.
Sorry im new and i didnt realise :/ but thanks for the info yellasei i will see if i can get it sorted
hi/low beam issue could just be a case of the bulb being fitted up side down or the wiring mixed up (i'v done it before)
ok well tomorrow i will rewire the switch, and the number plate light works when pressure is applied to the light so may just be a loose connection? Thanks for your replies people
got it sorted, the person who i bought the scooter off had put the connectors on headlights the wrong way round and the number plate light just had a loose wire Still bogs though, might try a performance exhaust, new air filter and upjetting abit. Thanks people
