ok.... 2005 (i think) speedfight 100... couple of issues, if anyone can help
having problems starting with starter switch... clicks or just a whine, starts after a couple of tries with kick..
also... speedo and fuel gauge don't work once started

been left for 12 months ish outside. had new cdi last year, and i've just replaced the ignition block (original owner lost his keys!)

Speedo = Possible the speedo drive has worn ( common on speedfights ) or your speedo cable has rounded ends and not seating in the speedo drive / speedo socket keeper on the dashboard. 9-10 its usually the speedo drive unit.

start switch problems, could be a number of things, first of your getting a click or whine so we roughly know the switch aint at fault.
remove the variator cover ( left hand engine cover) and check your starter bendix , it could be clogged up with dust from the belt and grime ( usually happens ) or the spring inside the bendix is not as strong and not pushing out the bendix gear and engaging.

fuel gauge = fuel level sender faulty, it sits inside the tank as a float op switch , they can go over time , you can purchase a new one via the ebay

If thats the battery that has been on for a year it will be useless, get a new one and go from there...
