hey im new to this site my name is richard i have a speedfight 100 that is driving me mad the guy i bought it off told a few porkies he said it just needed a cdi bypass but the loom looks to me to be fooked my question is if there is no cdi bypass in or if i pluged in the wrong cdi should the bike be dead i turn the key and all i can do is turn the lights and and horn but nothing from anything else no spark or even turn over nothing at all if i get the bypass will this solve all my nightmares
its a 50/50 chance because i had a speedfight and i thought that was the problem on mine so got a new cdi from peugeot n didnt even need it turned out the threads had stripped of the crank only thing i can suggest is if a friend has the same bike borrow his or hers cdi unit n see what happens from there
it turns over without a hitch the old cdi got wet and melted but i just wondered if thats normal to be dead with no cdi or bypass pluged in i orderd a bypass so fingers crossed it come tomorrow and that sorts it at the min with no cdi or bypass pluged in i turn the key hold break and push the elec start but nothing at all happens just the oil light comes on
the new bypass came in the post pluged that in and it was still not doing anything so i got a friend to look at it. it turned out to be a lose green wire going to the smaller 4 plug relay so we fixed that and it coughed to life very happy chappy now well when this rain stops i will be -.-
