Speed/Rev Limiter

You know those things people have been talking about those Rev limiters well I went to my local scooter tuning shop and they can supply the part and fit it for £100. I don't know if that is a good price or not but I do want one because around my area police are dyno'ing alot of bikes.

 

you can buy a malossi CDI with switchable limiter. not sure how much it is though.

to be honest, if you ride sensibly they won't bother you for it.

 

Hi mate yeh I know thats what I thought but my mate who has a SR50 that was standard apart from de-restriction was pulled by old bill and told to follow him to the station, he was then put on a dyno and his dad had to collect his bike. His bike looks completely standard and he wasn't going over the limit it was just a routine bike check thats what they are doing now.

 

ride an illegal bike and get caught is your problem

the thing is how will you set it though

say you set it to 6000 revs at 30mph wouldnt that change though on a dyno as thees no weight so will do a different speed anyway

We live in Bristol but word has been getting around now alot of people have been getting dyno'ed and told to follow old bill back to the station.
