hi i am repairing my mates speedfighter 2 50cc as the startor motor isnt starting the bike when we get the bike going and press the start button i can hear it battry has been replaced
well what happening?? is it spining or clicking?? also if it spining the teeth are gone so mite need a new one the speed fight are knowen for there teeth going missing
could be a dodgy earth...or corroded wires...the starter motor is in a vunerable place for shite....or could be a knackered starter motor...
do u even here a clicking noise?? if so probs sized or teeth gone either way u need a new one if it not clicking there something eles wrong like and earth pos fuses if not then has to be a earth but aprt from that i waould test see if it getting antything and go from there
yh i wreckon it needs a new 1 theres a click when the break is pulled and starter pressed but thats it. is nolonger my problem as he seems to think ill make it worse now lol, his bike he can get it fixed were he likes but it will cost him labour aswell now
the click you are hearing could be the relay, which is a sign it's working, but not 100% as I have come across one that clicked but was still shot.
i think that when its running you can work the starter motor the bike has been bashed about a fair bit so could just be loose wires, they seem to put them n awkward places
yh lol told him its gona cost him alot before i put it back together tested the wires and there was power to the starter motor so its going to need a new one
