Bought a gianelli exhaust for my standard 50 speedfight it did about 55 now I've put a 70cc kit on it and a technigas silent sport exhaust on and it won't do over 50?? Any help
Assuming everything was fitted correctly, Most likely need carb and transmission set up right, I'm going through it myself and it's a pain, especially while running in
I have no idea off the top of my head but im sure you need to upjet for a 70s kit maybe have a look in the tuning section
Your mixture is running weaker at the top end due to the sports exhaust. Take the main jet out of the carb, read the number stamped on it, add 4 to that number and that's the minimum jet size you need to correct the mixture.
Yeah, that won't help either as that will also weaken the mixture. The air flow has increased inside the engine and you need to increase the fuel flow to compensate.
You need the set that goes above 72. Pedstop, Pedparts or similar will stock the larger size range kit.
http://www.pedparts.co.uk/product/516/dellorto-stage6-jets-box--5mm would this be ok? In standard carb? Sorry to ask so many questions haha
You need the kit that goes from 75 to 98, but Pedparts don't have them in stock at the moment. http://www.pedparts.co.uk/product/464/dellorto-jets-box--5mm#option587 These are in stock though; http://www.pedparts.co.uk/product/1085/motoforce-racing-dellorto-6mm-jets-box-jetbox#option1175 You need to know which carburettor is fitted to your bike, e.g. Gurtner, Dellorto etc. as the jets can be 5mm or 6mm depending on the type fitted.
