sure thing mate no problems, the only hickup is my time schedule i'm usually busy going about with my work but i'll sure make a guide on the porting and barrel timings
no hassle at all mate i just need to find my sketch book since i doodle them in there, once i get it'll scan and clean it up in photoshop with the measures
my little contribution for piaggio... malossi 172 barrel polini 175 barrel Hebo Manston piaggio 2F4R piaggio
or i could just read the rest of my book and do it myself :wtf: :wtf: unk: :nerd: :w00t: :bird: imp: problem solved
first bit is understanding why.. the next is actually getting the ports the shape you want them.. takes alot of practice as its not the most friendly of areas to work.
Spectroplasm or Minor, Speaking to a friend of mine, His brother is a mechanic and he knows some one that can port cylinders. So If I was to get some port diagrams what would I need? Would it be possible to get MHR rep port diagrams and use them on a Malossi cast iron kit? Thanks.
generaly you could port any barrel to any portmap you like, but the major problem is that cast and aluminum arent the same, the heat is what makes the difference and what makes a certain portjob work or not. aluminum ports are more agressive than cast iron since they could dessipate more heat and is more efficient in this area. The same goes for AC and LC barrels. mhr rep on a malossi kit would work but you would like to ease off on the boost ports and exhaust port by 1mm or more depending on the portmap.
hard bit with the iron rep rep is drilling the 2 aux exhaust ports.. again where skill rather than knowledge comes in. same as changing a tyre... you know how its done, doesent mean you can do it
