you should look for one that actually fits under the seat and has a usb input so you dont carry around fucking cd's.. also you must consider putting a woofer some subs and an amplifier.. in planning on making something like this in the upcoming future
Me too Stathis..... but want it Mot'd first forever finding tunes on youtube that i think ' yeah would be sick with this playing as im tearing up Hertfordshire' lol ... Usb is a good idea too, otherwise id have a seat full of cds haha.. So would it be easier to use a car stereo then? and wouldnt that drain the 12v battery or would i have to buy another one along with an amp etc........ ?? Weight will increase too, so will defoo have to get it 70'd so im not draggin my ass about on a 50 thats put on a few pounds lol
I made one with mdf covered in white vinyl two 4" ripspeed speakers from Halfrauds and an amp with fm radio and MP3 input from ebay. The whole unit cost less than £20, looks okay and sounds pretty good. I'll post a photo tommorow. Oh it doesn't draw too muche power and is a lot lighter than using a car cd.
yeah if you are good with wires and electronics dont even buy a car stereo.. just use an usb input and work it out somehow haha also you will need a little battery aswell working with your system
oh ye you can do that aswell but if you build a system that needs more power than 1 battery can support then you must put another one
get a amplifier off ebay they have usb input so you can just play off ure phone mp3 etc... and just hook up some car speakers to it
I use my Iphone as the source, it connects to the black wired connecter (by right speaker on photo). I have fused two core wire running from the battery into the seat box which has a male/female double connector (from Maplins) this simply connects to the power lead with the other part of the connector, so it can be connected in a second. Mine has an illuminated switch as the amp does not have an on/off switch.
Check Adrenaline Pedstop , I saw a soundboard that should fit in the NRG. Not too sure if it's any good but worth a look.
