Sod the head unit. I've done it that way...

best way... Buy a 2 channel amp (£30-£60)
Buy some good speakers, then buy a lead that goes from the amp to a mini jack, and use ya ipod/mp3 player. Sorted.

All that thing uses in donotlink is a 2 channel amp. I'd advise buying some marine speakers, which are a little bit more expensive, but theyre completely waterproof, so you could stick ya speakers anywhere you like on ya bike. Thats my plan. January 2008.

But alexsr, that looks wicked mate. good job.

Well not really. Why is it pointless? Yeah i understand some bell end could come along and rip it all out. then you've wasted loads of cash. But the good points are that you got music on ya ped. And to be honest, although most of us like making our bikes look nice, we do it for attention.

two speakers.... was very loud...stuck my feet on the pegs... and i could just pull it of when i wanted, if u had a runner u could stick two speakers in the side vents and the amp behind the panels....i duno what bike you have tho..

ohh and this cost me like £17 to build.... £5 for the speakers £10 for the amp and £2 for the wood ;)

well considering you aint going to have a soundoff at a cruise. you have no need for it.
buy a ipod and sum decent headphones and i guarantee you will hear your music alot louder than 2 x 25watt speakers under your seat.

not to mention your charging system isn't designed to handle any excess load so will drain your battery if you use it for long periods (even if your riding)

    :confused:arc: :bird:

Sorry, but that dont look nice... Although its nice when it rains and then you can bathe your feet in 2 nice pools of water.. you shou,d get some Marine speakers.. Completely waterproof.. they stick em on the sides of boats etc.. And they're pretty darn loud...You can usually get them in black or white.
