right, i bought a new spark plug because my old one was fucked , i have now started premixing (bowt 2 weeks now) and every 50 odd miles my bike will start running shit then not move and will cut out , i take the spark plug out and it is really black. clean it with petrol , burn it and put it back in and it starts again , i premix about half litre less than i should so that i know it isnt that im putting too much oil in , i shake my bike too after adding the oil. do i need to maybe down jet a little? because its getting annoying
not sure.... But its half litre under what it should be , because if I put what it says on the bottle in it runs too rich and wont start....bikes drinking a lot lately , mechanic says something in the carb might be scratched or damaged and when that happens it lets too much petrol through...what could that thing be??
I think you need to get yourself a measuring jug from your local scooter shop/ebay and mix at 4% to start with, you may be able to drop to 3 maybe 2%.
