my spark plug wont spark when its touching the head or any part of the bike but when i mo0ve it a cm away from the head or any part of the bike the plug sparks but not inbetween the gap it sends the spark accros the gap between the plug and the head its asif its diverting the spark and will not run what is causing this
hi, it sounds as if the spark plug is damaged internally- for there to be a spark across any gap between the plug threaded body and the engine, the HT impulse MUST be travelling between the spark plug connector and the spark plug body (threaded section) - normally it obviously does this by jumping from the electrode tip to the threaded body in the normal manner but if it isn't doing this then it must be sparking internally where you can't see it, possibly the ceramic insulator inside the plug is cracked- try a new plug !
ok mate thanks i know its a big question but i have a gilera runner dd 50 t reg its done 2062 miles what plug do you think i should use because i had it serviced recently and i dint think its the correct plug and thanks for the advice.
