Looking fruitlessly online for one of those green rubber bungs that fit over the spark plug, shielding it from any crap/water that may cover it.

    Any help greatly appreciated!

Hmm similar idea, but the one on my Gilera VX looks more like a Top Hat.

It covers the ceramic of the plug and slides down the plug/engine well itself.

Well it would of made things much simpler if you posted a pic (a pic can speak a thousand words) of what your on about in the first place, instead of saying a green rubber bung  and yes the green "thing" in your pic is a cap :D

that green thing in your pic is just a green rubber cap by the looks of it, you can get ngk rubber ones that look and do pretty much the same

That's what I'm looking for, as per the initial question. It comes as standard fitting on a Gilera VX, but I can't find them anywhere online....

Why does it have to be a green one? They all do the same job...

It doesn't have to be green. Any colour will suffice, I just thought that maybe they only were made in a green colour, which is what I've only ever seen to date.

As for the red 'thing'. How would I slide that down the spark plug well, and then fit a spark plug through it, and then clip it onto the spark plug cap?

No, it's a rubber boot that goes over a spark plug cap. That slides down the engine well.

This one (or literally any other plug cap for sale on a scooter site) will be fine. The plug will push fit all the way inside the wider part which will cover most of the white part on the plug and the lead screws into the long part.

You see this rubber bit that fits on the end makes the plug well watertight, the VX is a pain in the arse in the wet.

i had so many problems with my vx when it rained:the starter relay took in water and would just click, the lights would sometimes short out (the back ones), the immobiliser would just kickin when i was riding along. urgh the list goes on.
