Does anyone know what engine this bike uses ?
After reading other posts I'm gonna get a derestricted CDI then remove the shim on the variator and check the carb for a restrictor......

Just need around 40mph to keep with traffic at the moment it is 33mph on the flat and 25 uphill .....

GY6 or otherwise known as the 139QMB -139QMA

kinda hard to tell as CMPO dont have the Vouge listed under HMC parts just the HMC lightning 125cc ( possible HMC uses the same motor from the vogue in the lightning ) so maybe check out the lightning model and see if that motors sidecasing looks like yours ( kickstart side) usually find they carry parts over saving on build costs ( why use new toolings when you already have old ones)

aye no worries, shame they didnt go with a leader style motor like the vespa's , being that the vogue is near on a vepsa like machine or close enough to

Very true mate , once I find out what engine it is I'll deresrict it properly just enough to get 40mph allowing me to keep up with the traffic

Just checked underneath and yep its a QMB 139 so cheers for the info ....I'm going to do the work myself as its pretty simple and straight forward

Deffo needs a de restricted cdi as it flutters when a certain rpm is reached

put 6g rollers in as a base line ( middle the road of the 5.5 -7.5 )

If yours is working try disconnecting your battery, if your engine dies you have a DC CDI system. With an AC CDI it will continue to run.
Most CDI's with large bodies tend to be DC / CDI's with a body like a small matchbox tend to be AC
You can also tell by the wiring, if you have 3 or 4 wires going into the four plug that doesn't make much difference, but if you have 2 wires going into the 2 plug this is likely to be a DC CDI / 1 wire going into the 2 plug means it is likely to be an AC CDI.
Beware there are anomalies to these rules but most CDI's follow these rules

Result ..managed to match the panels to a WK bikes VS50 and just ordered the side panel and rear light etc for £70 not bad as the bike cost me £375 which for a 15 plate is cheap
