Im running into £310 sometime soon. What will this get me setup wise? Id prefer the most bang for the 'buck' but not so it has to be rebuilt every second. Im going to consider this pretty seriously. Id prefer not to have to change my crank etc. I know its been asked time and time again, but i would like 'direct' input instead of just general know how. So can you reccomend me a 'good' 70 kit that will be fine on my standard crank cluctch variator etc. And what else will i need, carb? Where from? Gear up? What one?.. And how much would you say it would cost for all this to be 'fitted' at a grage, just a ballpark figure? Thanks for reading.
right, start wiht a decent crank an mains.. then bang on a mhr rep/evo kit. run what you have an save for the rest honestly what id do as if the crank goes you will need a new one, along with repklacments for most of the bits you just bought
So how much for a new crank & mains an evo kit (im right in thinking this is better than the mhr?) to be fitted at a 'garage' coz i aint got a fuckin clue and dont wana fuck it up. Just a rough guide for all that.
right, bgm crank an mains will run you 150 max.. evo kit is 200 or the mhr will last longer an is only 130ish.. leaving some dosh for somone nice to rebuild it for ya.. dont forget you have to add 50+ quid for silly shit like belt/jet's rollers all the ohter associated crap people forget about an jus "make do" with
your best bet is buy an iron kit and a carb.. mabey new pipe depending what your running. will have plenty of money lying about for jets an the like. going fast costs money and anything other than an iron kit will need in excess of 500 quid spent to actually see the best results from the barrel/crank combi.. most 70 engines i build for people end up owing them neerly a grand in parts.. worth it tho
