Just notice my back wheel has slight lateral movement. It also effects the disc brake as well.

I've never removed the back wheel personally (but probably could if I tried).

Do you reckon it's the bearings - or another problem I should look out for???

I seem to remember mine always having a slight amount of lateral movement. Not a top to bottom wobble, but some side to side movement.

It never bothered the MOT inspector so I took it as being within tolerance.

If you feel it when cornering I'd be concerned. If it still feels planted I wouldn't worry too much.

If I were you I'd have a good look at it, take exhaust off to see better, make sure the hub nut/wheel bolts are tight. There is a bearing in the alloy brace where the shock bolts on.

Took exhaust off, and removed the split pin and cone 'thingy'.

The whacking great centre nut was removable by my fingers.

Tightened it up and now the whole wheel/disk has no freeplay.

Now to get the leaking seal fixed on the forks

Bloody hell! I'd check every nut and bolt on it now.

Who would leave a rear wheel as lose as that?
