Was sad to see it go I'm going to go for a clutch 50cc... I now have a choice, gpr50 or tzr 50.. GPR is 2001 with 13k kms... TZR is 2003 with 13k kms also... Both costing about £430... What should I do? Does anyone know how to FULLY de-restrict the yamaha?
to be honest i think it looks stupid on a geared 50 one in my college, he revs the tits off it changes up to 3rd by about 10 mph and on acceleration you can run faster than it :msn1:
lololol i seen some RS50 at the traffic lights the other day thinking it was gunna 'rip' off down the road I burst out laughing seeing how slow it was :w00t:
i seen some geared scrambler 50 down the road from me revving its tits off...then by the time he was about 20 metres down the road he was in 6th doing 30 mph(restriced i think...or just slow.)
some 50 scrambler not sure funny as though its LOUD and it just doesnt seem to be accelerating even though it revvin its tits off ans changine gear
and the Nsr, lammys, DTs, MX's........ on the other hand burns, you should have said geared 4T 125 are wank. arc:, if their wank, why did you buy a DT125? and btw dunney dont bother with a geared 50, its just not worth it, the price of them for a start is shocking £2,529 brand new for an RS50 - Fucking shocking, you could have a rapid scoot for that, which will make the RS50 look like a midi moto
Thanks for comments.. But, think im gonna go for a TZR.. Went to have a look at a TZR tonight.. 2003. Only 10k kms and sounded and drove well.. But body work was a discrace. Cracked, badly scratched panels, completely eroded wheels etc.! I have another one to look at tomorrow evening.. 2002, 8k kms, malossi 80cc kit.. The kit was fitted by a reputable honda dealer that I know well but as I have stated before, machanics over here don't seem to be too fussed about up-jetting when increasing cylinder size.. If I buy the bike and fit the correct jet straight away, will everything be ok? He is asking for £710.. But it looks mint from the pics and has the advantage of the already fitted 80cc kit.. Advice is very appreciated..
finding good condition second hand panels would be like finding rocking horse shit :tdwn:  you may be able to buy new but prices would be ridiculous.
no i think theres a bike with exactly the same panels as they use with the teezer i think its a motohispania rx50? im not sure anyway wobbly knows the bike and by the way dont buy the TZR, buy the MBK version exactly the same bike but cheaper
Bought the bike tonight for the above price.. Turns out he is an Izuzu mechanic.. Bike is in mint condition! 11,000 kms.. The kit was fitted around 4k miles ago, and he has told me it will pull to 70mph... Gearing is still standard.. He doesnt know if the garage up-jetted, but he mentioned a vein like carbon bit that compensates for the extra fuel needed?? I will check if the carb has been up-jetted on sat, I won't have time till then.. Have to find out standard jet size also.. its 2002, if anybody knows?? I will also check for exhaust, air restrictions etc.. I will be insured at 9 in the morning at will update on how it goes.. If the plug on a standard tzr 50 is a BR9ES.. Would you still use the same plug with 80c kit fitted? Also looking for a rough idea of the jet sizes to order.. Will I go for a set with 100+ Or a set up to 98??
if it pulls 70 the gearing isnt standard OR its revving to about 18000 rpm. not so sure about jet sizes, just whip the plug out, panic if its white, otherwise leave it alone. if it pulls 70 its not restricted BR9ES is right leave jetting alone until you know what its doing, its also a wanker of a carb to get to. the motorhispania RX50 is identical under the bodywork therefore the rx bodywork can be fitted to the Teezer. the TZR is actually a motorhispania (even has it stamped on the left side of the headstock) as for wheels, get them blasted and powdercoated. the TZR is reasonable bike as long as its looked after, unfortunately when you red line them a lot they wear out quick and its the only way to make them go anywhere. (its the AM6 motor which the Aprilia RS, RX etc.., Reiju RS2, Peugeot XPs and XP6, Gilera GSM and loads of other bikes use, therefore very well known and extremely tunable) try: www.bike-spares.co.uk or www.moped-spares.co.uk (same site but i think one domain went down) Exhaust wise, Gianelli are the best mid-range pipes, better with 70-80 sports kits, the leo is a lovely pipe too, much better quality than the scooter versions, the arrows are a name, think they are re-branded gianelli (or visa versa) both good pipes. if you want to go stupid you can go for a bidalot setup but be prepared to pay big money.
I really appreciate all that info wobbly.. I will check the plug tomorrow.. Do you fancy pointing out to me via "paint" what bits I have to strip down on the pic below to adjust and remove the carb (pic is not my bike, but identical).. imp: I have been told to use a BR10ES to accomadate the kit?? Well been driving it all day today, accelerates like mad compared to the peds, and being able to control the gearing means you can actually overtake ha.. It got to just over 100kms today, and you're right about having to redline.. Am definitely going to do something with the wheels.. There doesnt seem to be a rev limiter, it revved to over 10k.. I will check how many teeth the front sprocket has also, standars sould be 11t, correct? How many should the rear have standard? What speeds is the bike capable of with the kit and standard pipe? Can you reccommend the best gearing.. I will keep the gianelli and leo in mind, have not got the funds just yet.. One last thing, when my clutch is engaged in neutral, it makes a knocking sound.. When I disengage it, it stops.. Any idea's? Thanks a million..
to get to the carb you have to remove one of the fairings (also to get to the plug really) and i find it easier to lift the tank out of the way too. its a pain in the arse. i'm not entirely sure what gearing the TZR runs as the work i've done on them hasn't involved tuning. the bike, set up properly with stock pipe and kit should be capable of about 65 (will read about 75). as for your clutch, first thing i'd do is drop the gear oil and replace as i bet its emulsified. the knocking could just be a worn clutch basket so unless it gets worse quickly i wouldn't worry.
