Snapped bolt in the head !!!!! help

    ok heres the deal i curretnly tock my exhuast off and tuk the ristictor out upon doing so when i was tightening the bolt it snaped and its stuck in and there isnt any thing sticking out of the hole so i can use grips to grip them and turn the bolt and idea's on how i can get this bolt out ?

    take the cyclinder off.. heat it up then try unscrewing it somehow.. a mate had the same problem

    lol i had the same problem but when i tryed gettin the bolt out i took the edge of the outlet off n now im jus gna buy a borekit coz if i put the exhust bak on it will jus be held on wiv 1 bolt

    go buy some stud extractors and a nice hard drilbit..

    file, centre punch, carbide drill bit (like a knife through butter then), tap and die kit, bit of patience and the stud's out, cut new thread then a new bolt can be used. It is possible on the bike, but for what a top end gasket kit costs and the time it takes, do as hursty mentioned and take the barrell off. good luck :nerd:

    its NOT ok with one bolt or it would be made with one.. mabey you should learn what a torque setting is

    right, well theres a tool called a torque wrench that clicks once you get to a certian tightness.. i dont need one for most jobs as experience teaches you how tight you can go (you know not to tightern it that much now for instance) but go get a torque wrench and a manual. saves snapping ANY bolts (well, unless there rusted to hell)

    or you could use good quality bolts and be a little more gentle.

    well my mom lives in birmingham but my dad lives in a place called mansfield in a small village called ollerton (where my bike is) not far from newark
