smokey cold starts

hi all,

so my bike is sill running nice after all the fiddling i have done with it lol

but have found when started from cold its a bit smokey, even more so when i ride away for the first mile or so, any ideas as to what it cold be? unless it just hates being cold..

and its a peugeot lol ;(

 

2 strokes for you , let it warm up for a good 10 mins on the stand before riding especially now its gone colder

 

some strokers do some dont as much, my rs didnt seem to smoke anywhere near as much as my gilera will

infact my gilera will leave plumes everywhere

when idling a 2 sroke you should always blip the throttle now and then to mix the 2 stroke otherwise it dosent mix well

 

^^ could bot agree more other than my rs smokes like a trooper only because i run it rich though

could be running a bit rich aswell, was hard to get the bike running as good as it is now. seems to splutter a bit at low revs aswell...

the missing at low revs you explained to us sounds like its running a tad rich but rather run a 2 stroke a tad rich than to lean and seize your engine

 

Auto-chokes suck ! Replace with a manual !
