May be small problem may end up a large one I'm unsure, however.... I bought a Standard 52 Runner 125 SP last saturday, been getting the insurance etc... sorted through the week. Came to start it tonight and started fine first time on the button, however within around 5 minutes idleing the cylinder starting smoking out where the top end meets the bottom, sorry, not too knowledgeable. Anyway, i turned it off and could hear like a sizzling noise, like a said, I'm not really a whizz but does any one have any ideas please? Cheers.
Sounds like you got a leak somewhere mate, coolant is pissing out over your hot engine and steaming. Check the pipes to and from the engine.

Could be the O ring, have a closer look and see if its coming from where the spark plug is. If it's not coming from there, it sounds like your base gasket has gone.
Checked the pipes to/from the engine, no problem there, then bought a new gasket, O ring etc... from my local bike shop, change them all over but still leaks. I have no idea tbh.
maybe warped? or is the cylinder got damage where gaskets sit? does sound like it, you say, you can actually see smoke coming from where the barrel meets the crank cases? or at the top of the barrel where the cylinder head(where the sparkplug screws into)
The cover over the billet head where it meets the barrel leaks whether started or not but when started it smokes. I may just get a Malossi 172 and just replace everything.
Strip the topend off completely. buy a new BASE gasket get some wirewool and scrub where the base gasket sits on the case and on the barrel. smear abit of instant gasket on each side of the NEW basegasket and refit.
