Mines a 125cc and i've just replaced the rollers with 9 gram instead of 8.5. very easy to do 65mph without pushing it. Maybe you needed a lot lighter roller.

The rollers are probably too heavy, they're fully engaging the variator at too low in the rev range stopping the engine hitting the powerband.

Why don't you just drill out the heavy rollers to the weight you need? Simple enough, just gently hold roller with mole grip's and drill (keep dipping in water to keep it cool) the centres out. A small set of digital scales sorted!

you dont have to have the rollers for your scooter. you just need the size, width and weight. Measure and weigh your old rollers in mm and gram

    I think that standard is a 16x13, 10g roller

The problem with rollers is too heavy and they open too soon and stop the engine reaching it's powerband, result sluggish performance. Too light and they dont fully open, result engine reving hard but getting nowhere.
