its built into the piaggo watch , that clockwatch unit has a retail cost of £198 i have the same problem on my skipper, mine reads Low all the time and when battery has a hissy fit it will read -17 degree the shoot upto low again, i also have the flashing snowflake icon 24/7 to lol. theres no way in hell im paying near on 200 quid for a darn time piece i could get a 190 bore kit for near that price.

yeah notorius for water ingress, my watch clock is water damaged when ignition is off you cant even tell what the time is theres lcd bars missing and leaking and likes , piaggio skippers are known for having problems with water ingress on the main dash and the watchclock

tonight i took the 'watch' off the dash and opened it up as i had water and vapor behind it and the display went all fooked up

i dried it out and managed to get it working again but i couldn't see a sensor inside it, there are not any holes in it either for the air temp to get inside

i check out the clocks/dash i dont think its built into there either, checked behind the front panel but didnt see anything obvious

any other ideas where the sensor might be

only other place is it has been wired into the loom somewhere .

i have not taken mine apart yet and aj sutton does not show anything in the way of sensor for the dash system

ok so the temp sensor is sat in the plastics behind the yokes of the forks for future reference

The skipper clock set has always been a problem, even when they were new they failed within weeks !

    update
cleaned the connector (behind the front panel) for the loom and air temp sensor and reconnected it and now temp is fine now

my piaggio clock wasn't leaking water until i took it all apart trying to find the location of the air temp sensor
since i opened up the clock i have had water seeping in almost as soon as it rains and messes up the digital screen
ive had it on and off afew times to work out where the water is getting in

so ive rebuild the clock with white bathroom sealer
i used my finger to put some sealer on top of the o ring inside and wiped off the excess so it didnt go all over when putting the top on
i did the same with the buttons put sealer around them put the buttons in wiped of the excess
cant really see the sealer after you wipe it down
buttons still work as they did as its only the middle what moves
tested today in super hard core rain and not a drop inside
display seem alot better after being dried out over night
