There are actually 2. One normal size (+.5-1hp) One bigger (+1-1.5hp) The bigger one (35mm) is only for highly ported stuff I dunno about how long lasting they are but stainless isnt as strong as mild steel full stop so I wouldn't be surprised.. I'd take the chance myself though seeing as theres some kind of performance gain and compared to the price of the normal new one and for the fact it won't ever rust. I bought a brand new normal one for mine a couple thousand miles ago and it needs replacing soon
If people think you are getting 1--1.5hp+ from adding an aftermarket downpipe to a "stock exhaust" you are in cloud 9, if that was the case everyone would be running stock pipes and people like PM would never sell and PM55's 59's etc etc.... Where people get these figures from i'll never no.. No doubt it might add a very very slight bit or help with rusting issues but apart from that i cant see anything else it's going to do? If you want power from an exhaust buy a good proven aftermarket pipe, if not stick with stock.
Actually the stock pipe on the runner 2 stroke is deemed to be a fantastic piece of kit and whilst its very heavy, pm only claim there pipes add 1-2bhp The reason the pm pipes sell are: looks sound weight saving and the fact they have a narrower power band I havent tried a sip down pipe but seems like a decent bit of kit for the price. just a shame the stock can weighs the same as a small elephant
It did look like a nice addition to running a sta dard exhaust system. After consideration unless ita malossi or polini part i wouldn't deal with it
