    Picture the following purely for research

    over 17, Completed cbt, Riding a 50cc with a bigger carb and exhaust declared to the insurance company,can legally ride on a am licence with l plates?

    aslong as not bigger than 125cc, can legally ride.

    and no faster then 15BHP or 14.5 cant remember which as some 125's can go faster then others

    some 125's are more then that mainly the older ones lol

    i know, im convinced my 2011 cbf was modded, had it over 80mph down a hill, ragging it, head down. had a few 33bhp rs125`s.... ahh well what we "dont know" dont hurt and what the gov/police etc dont know dont hurt ;)

    legally speaking, if its been derestricted, bigger carb etc aslong as its under 14.5bhp then yes its fine aslong as your 17 or over, have a current cbt and you declare it as a motorcycle to DVLA when derestricted and let your insurance know.
    but tbh aslong as your over 17 and you get pulled doing more than 30mph but arent speeding then the cops wont bother,too much paperwork to bother with. theyll do it with a 16 year old though.

    write to them or call them and ask i think, not too sure, never bothered telling them

    buy a 125 lol. I would never ride a stock 50cc :)
