Looking good No recent ones of mine... i need to take some after i give it a good bath.. its a bit dusty at the moment. http://simonandrachshouse.posterous.com/ This has been taking up most of my time .... my very own house... Check out how big my shed slab will be
shed's gonna be fucking huge!! if only we had an abundance of space over here, seriously reflects in property sizes
hehe... yep.. we will have a 2 car garage... and my shed in the backyard will be 6m x 6m so thats space for 4 cars hehe. things are progressing quickly... building only started on monday so we are 3 days in. :clapping: my block is 900m2 so its decent size... bigger than the average over here.
any time mate.... we'll put up you up for as long as you want.......... ....... in exchange for tuning work  hehe
LOL, get out an clean your bike.. maybe some nice nww pics of it up/video of your hard work? i know its dark there now an your nearly in beddiebyes but ye, get on it, wanna see what a clean fresh one looks like as ive been stairing at my pans thinking "i didnt know bikes got celulite" wrinkled to fuck pans are not attractive. cant even keep track of what colour yours is atm
haha i wish... im still at work.... 11.5hrs so far hopefully ill go home soon.... Ill try and get some pics up on the weekend.
Nooooo. I think I siezed it. Was cruising along then lost power. It then died and the scoot decelerated very quickly. Just pulled the plug out and it look ok. No metal etc. Put my thumb over the spark plug hole an kicked it over. It felt like it had bugger all compression. So who wants to guess at what it is ... Hole in piston? Stuffed rings? Will Simon need a new cylinder? Etc hehe. Look like I'll be chucking the 50 back in there for a bit until I get around to ordering a new 70.
erm, whip the cylinder off m8, only way your gonna tell.... could wellbe a hole in the piston as they usually show good compression wiht the thumb method even when there fucked (mine had compression and the rings were welded to the piston) this test is worthless. but ye, get it out, have a look, usually the piston takes the hit as its ALOT softer than the cylinder so hopefully a re hone and new piston should do it, altho you may need to check the dimentions of the cylinder just to see. it may need a slight rebore/oversized piston.. just pull it out and have a look, only way to see really.
Thanks mate. Will have to wait til tommorrow night. I had to leave the scoot. Folks are coming up tomorrow so dad will bring up his trailer. Fingers crossed it's the piston. Bit cheaper than a cylinder it was hot and dry today so I think that caused it to lean out a smidge.
hot and dry causes rich not l,ean as hot dry air is less dence than cold air.. the heat would have caused problems tho (if it was an especially hot day and it was on its way already) you have had good miles out of it so far tho tbh
Thanks man. Yeah your right about the dense air. Was about 33 or more degrees c yesterday. And very dry. Do you guys use celcius?
well..... i pulled it apart.... with rather surprising results. looks like the small end bearing let go... weird... anyway.. see the following photos for the evidence... hehe... Luckily the bore only had minor scuff marks... they will hone out easily but im up for a new piston hehe the bore: the piston: the head: whats left of the small end bearing (it just fell apart in my hands)
