my mate has offered me a runner 125 in a 50 frame so obviously registered as a 50, its a ported 125 typhoon engine its fukin fast and its got an nrg back wheel plus i will get 60 pound on top but its got no tax and mot so i'm gonna have to spend it on that anyway only thing im worried about it police coz im only 16 someone tell me what you think
a decent 70 could match or beat a 125 and i think getting caught with a 70 wouldn't be as bad as a 125 lol specially when the numbers dont match id stick with what youve got tbh

looking at it would be a start. ie,exhaust, that's how i can always tell a 50 from a 125 at the traffic lights. the 125's are always more chunky
engien number dotn matter ive been stopped by traffic police n allsorts and ive never actually had numbers so if u got and the numbers obviously wont match take em off " yes officer i noticed that apparently it had a recon engine kjust before i brought it
i think police know what to look for your 16 so will more than likey ride like a complete ted showing off and have a crash, then when the police inspect it they will know or if unsurance look at it to see if its a write off, they will know if its not registered as a 125 but your insurance is covering it as a 50.....your insurance will be invalid and your licence wont cover it so your basicly going to ride a illigal and get banned,fined, points ect and for what? to rev ahead of your mates? :wtf:
if you dont do the swap i will.is it that battered one off gumtree if so then no way he modded the looms and half of it dont work.
if police see you doing like 60-70 on a 50..... i think they would check the bike out m8 lol but they have to give you 3days notice before checking the bike over so you could have time to put a 50 back in it
Burns is an OAP... do it but make sure you got it covered (engine numbers etc.) and dont be whizzin past fed's at stupid miles per hour... i say this from experience.
yh obviously i thought about all that. and ive been stopped and the fed asked me if youre really allowed to have a licence at 16 lol another one thought my typh was a 125 and put down 125 on the ticket, tbh most of them dont have a clue but i might get that 1 wanker that wants to take my bike off me but ive decided im not gonna do it anyway because i just like my zip too much and the runner is just a monster lol. yh it is that one but he says he fixed all the electrics, the bike aint that bad though, the engine came from 1 of my mates and the frame is off another mate so if he says that hes got a new loom there cant really be much wrong with it
Drove around for like 7months on a 125 reg as a 50 then drove around on it as a 172 got stopped loaaads of times on it by police and btp and know one ever said nothing. Most standard police dont have a clue, they dont get trained to spot the difference between tuned and standard engines...unless you get mr. jobsworth.
1 question,, why would somone swap a "ported 172" for some stock ish 70? cant figure it? walk away.. yopur m8 is trying to fob you off with some ringer made up of nicked parts.. i wouldent call him a friend
its a 125 and i know its not made from nicked parts because i know where they all come from, he wants to swap because hes scared to ride it because its always on the back wheel and it has no tax or mot and mine does
