Now that the rear end is almost sorted, New tyre finally on, new exhaust fitted, and plastics sorted, I'm turning my attention to the front end.....because the bike now has shorter handlebars, the rear brake cable will need shortening, and the electrical cables shortening, not too much of a problem.....however the front brake pipe also needs to be shorter, is this a specialised job ? as I imagine that crimping is involed......any thoughts welcomed.........
I've never done one... Even when I worked on fork trucks, I sent them to a company that makes them... You can buy shorter brake lines. Just search "custom motorcycle brake lines" and order to fit.
Thanks for that...I may have saved a few quid by "losing" the extra length behind the front panel......will find out when I get some brake fluid, and bleed it.......
Careful you don't pinch the hose when you turn the bars from lock to lock, sudden front brake failure because you nicked a hole in the pipe will make your arse twitch a bit. You could always go here, it's where I get my stuff from: https://www.venhill.co.uk/news/are-braided-brake-lines-worth-it-everything-you-need-to-know/
